The Lost Weekend will officially be available on August 14 through Dead Oceans. Phoebe Bridgers announced the Lost Weekend in June. She confirmed the title of the Lost Weekend and the release date of the Lost Weekend after she did some surprise live shows in the United States. The Lost Weekend comes after her album, which is called Punisher and the Punisher was a really important release, for the Lost Weekend artist and it helped her early on in her music career.
The new album is especially important because it ends a six-year time between Bridgers’ solo studio albums. During that time she stayed busy, with collaborations going on tour and working with boygenius the group she created with Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker. At each location the album is shown with a night-sky dome or a special laser show that matches the feeling of the music. These events do not allow phones or cameras so people can pay attention to the songs and the lights without any interruptions. By mixing music, light and planned surroundings these events give fans a special chance to hear Lost Weekend in a more unforgettable and focused environment.
